Chelsey “Peanut” Davis is a 2011 graduate of Penn State University majoring in Kinesiology, Fitness Studies. With competition being second nature as her high school soccer captain, Chelsey walked on and competed as a varsity athlete on the Penn State Boxing team. Chelsey was also a Penn State Fitness Instructor at the campus’ gyms. A natural motivator, Chelsey sang “Don’t Stop Believing” winning the title of Penn State Idol in 2010.

After her graduation, Chelsey decided to take her expertise to the Big Apple and was hired as a trainer at the David Barton Gym. With her knowledge in exercise science, Chelsey enjoyed designing training programs for clients, mastering in areas such as fat loss, muscle gain, and athletic training. She continued to shine in group fitness as one of DBG’s top instructors with classes such as spinning, yoga, circuit/interval training, muscle conditioning and of course, boxing. It was at DBG that Chelsey was recruited by Nike NYC. Becoming the first original NTC trainer for Nike Women, Chelsey taught regular classes geared toward college students.

In the Fall of 2012, Chelsey decided to pursue her other life passion, cooking. She enrolled as a student at The International Culinary Center in NYC. This intensive Italian program allowed her the opportunity to study abroad in Italy for half a year. Chelsey was offered an internship in Milan at the world famous gastronomic market & restaurant, Peck. During this time, Chelsey was also invited to train for Nike becoming a key component of the Nike Italia initiative to inspire women in fitness. Chelsey led regular NTC workouts to prominent female professionals in Milan, all while studying to become a chef.

Trainer Peanut currently trains clients privately in central PA. Chef Peanut teaches healthy cooking classes, ravioli classes and provides private chef experiences for clients including a life coaching service.

Inspired by the Italian lifestyle, Chelsey developed her brand, Figo, meaning “cool” in Italian slang. Figo’s intention is to inspire a balanced lifestyle between food and fitness. The FigoFit mantra is to “move and challenge the body daily”, and FigoFood means “eat fresh, unprocessed foods with everything in moderation”. Figo is famous for it’s entertaining weekly “episodes” which include free healthy recipes and workout moves to try at home.
